Since 1994, children throughout SLO County have experienced the joy of singing in live choral performances while receiving a quality musical education in the Central Coast Youth Chorus, formerly the Central Coast Children's Choir. Currently comprised of over 70 children ages 7-18, the CCYC is divided into six choruses: Debut Choir, Apprentice I Choir, Apprentice II Choir, Young Men's Ensemble, Concert Choir, and Advanced Vocal Ensemble.Currently comprised of over 70 children ages 7-19, the CCYC is divided into six choruses: Brio, Cadence, Cadenza, Young Men's Ensemble, Vivace, and Advanced Vocal Ensemble. Auditions for the upper choirs are conducted in a friendly, supportive environment. Weekly rehearsals are scheduled during after-school hours, and include musicianship training, plus vocal coaching. The highly respected choral organization collaborates with SLO Vocal Arts Ensemble, OperaSLO, Cuesta Master Chorale, and children's choirs throughout our state.
